pdf announcement
pdf Sentence No. 1 Which Consists of 903 Palindromic Coined Words (2003)
Some of Hideki Nakazawa's art works are made of coined words. Although his intention is "paintings," they can be read aloud because they are letters. Three performers will read his works which are currently installed on the walls in his studio. You can also see his latest floor installation made of 30,000 coins. After the performance, there will be an open discussion and a small party (welcoming to bring sth to drink). COME AND WITNESS TODAY'S TRUE RADICALISM.
METHOD NIGHT VOL. 5 is a monthly event on METHOD ART and METHODICISM, presented by Hideki Nakazawa, a Japanese artist, who calls himself a METHODICIST. METHODICISM was launched in Japan in 2000, when Nakazawa et al. drafted "Method Painting, Method Poem, Method Music (Methodicist Manifesto)."
Hideki Nakazawa is a current participant in ISCP, International Studio and Curatorial Program in NYC, being supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japanese Government.
